My apologies that my condolences are so long in coming. I worked with Al at Deloitte in the late 70s and early 80s. Because of Al, I was promoted to partner. He was always one of my greatest supporters and for that I am greatly indebted to him.He was a great friend.
May he rest in God’s peace.

Al was a fishing friend in the 1970s. He was also my mentor at Haskins & sells. I truly considered Al one of my best friends of my life. He was truly a great man.

Al was our neighbor for 38 years, and a better neighbor one could not find. He came to greet us when we moved in in 1985. When I was due with our first child, and Tom worked in the city, Al came over to say to call him the minute I thought I wanted to go to the hospital if Tom wasn't here. He and Jeanne brought us a baby present., and one or two of their daughters babysat. We never had any issues over our adjoining properties, and he always consulted us before cutting down trees. He was a dear, sweet man, who always had a smile on his face and a little story to tell. We missed seeing him after he moved out of Dormer Cottage, but will always remember him.

Grief is like the wake behind a boat. It starts out as a huge wave that follows close behind you and is big enough to swamp and drown you if you suddenly stop moving forward. But if you do keep moving, the big wake will eventually dissipate. And after a long time, the waters of your life get calm again, and that is when the memories of those who have left begin to shine as bright and as enduring as the stars above.

My name is Lisetta Malagoli,
I had the honor, the joy and the luck to know Alberto. He was my student, but if I have to tell the truth he was the one who taught me about life and love, fortitude and perseverance. He was the one who always suggested something new to do with the class and I will always keep him in my heart, in my prayers and in my mind. I considered Alberto as a father to me, and as a father I will keep his memory alive every day for ever and ever.
