Everyone in the Perry family has been friends of our family for most of our lives. Our parents would have cocktail parties and pool parties and many dinner parties, all with lots of story-telling, gaity and laughter. We fondly called Albert “Denny” from the beginning, and considered him a true gentleman, well-educated and articulate. We will miss the light he brought to this world.
With love from,
The four Grimm Girls
Margot, Judy, Nancy, and Darcy

My condolences to Al's family and friends.
Al was an extraordinary individual and an inspiration to many. Let kindness be a trait he is most remembered for, as he extended it in all ways, and to all with whom he came in contact. May you rest in peace Al. You lived life well.

Al was a true gentleman, an extraordinary teacher, good friend and an esteemed colleague at New Canaan Country School. The Maya Angelou quote that he chose to live by says it all—what matters in life is how you make others feel. And Al made so many students and friends feel very, very good. My condolences to his family. Al will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Mr. Perry was a beloved teacher at Country School for many years. Both of my children, Gary and Katie, often speak kindly of him as we reminisce about their education. Both of them credit Mr. Perry for teaching them to write, including outlining, punctuation and creativity. He was kind, interested in his students as individuals, and a real gentleman. As a family, we are grateful for the role he played in their education and life. RIP. Mr. Perry.

What a special person Al was. He helped his neighbors with skill and kindness. We worked as a team on some real estate challenges and his caring ways were outstanding.
