I am so sad to just now be learning of Nancy's passing. Nancy and my own mother, Helen Cooke Miller, were best friends as children and school girls in Alexandria. After my mother died in 2019, I stepped in to continue their lifetime tradition of calling each other on D-Day to commemorate the time when Nancy’s father, Ken took them into Washington DC to be at the White House when our country had been attacked. He wanted to be sure they would never forget. I got to know Nancy better through those calls and found her to be so charming and lovely. We shared our grief over our mutual loss of my mother and she was a great comfort to me. I am certain that Nancy and Helen are together in heaven floating holly-hock ladies down a stream just like they did when they were little girls. Love from Kat Miller, 2024.
