Obituary of Phyllis Michelle LeBlanc

Phyllis Le Blanc died peacefully in her home, surrounded by her family, on Saturday, April 22, 2023.

Phyllis was survived by her doting husband, Roma, and her two sons, Roma Jr. (Karen) and Michael (Jennifer), and her grandchildren, Jake, Mason, and Louis. Many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews also survived her. She was predeceased by her siblings, Barbara Bundock and Michael Scaglia.

Phyllis was a lifelong resident of New Canaan, Connecticut, and a person of simple taste who knew what she liked and what she didn’t like. She enjoyed her family; dancing to Richard Simmons; playing the lottery, and Bingo. She was a collector who treasured her Madame Alexander dolls, Beanie Babies, and Mickey and Minnie Mouse memorabilia. She always watched Mass on television, where she would not be bothered by the scents of flowers or perfume. A former crossing guard, she saved cards and pictures that children gave her as gifts over the years.

Phyllis was a woman of few words, but when her grandsons came to visit, and she playfully joked that she would give them a “knuckle sandwich,” they knew what she was saying meant “I love you.” She was plainspoken and headstrong, making sure that her family understood her wishes as she neared the end of her life, which was to leave this world on her own terms and without fuss.

Funeral mass will be at Saint Aloysius Church on Friday, April 28th at 10 AM

In lieu of flowers, the Le Blanc family asks that donations be made in Phyllis’ name to the American Kidney Fund.  https://tinyurl.com/yb7yeb3u
