Obituary of Anthony Di Feo
Anthony Di Feo, 86 a longtime prominent resident of New Canaan, CT, died peacefully in his home on Friday January 6, 2023. Born in San Mango Sul Calore Italy on August 25, 1936, he was the son of the late Carmine and Angelina Borea Di Feo.
He is survived by his beloved sister Carmelinda, his uncle Ermenegildo Borea, his aunt Carmela Borea and several cousins.
Anthony came to the United States from Italy in 1956; he became a hairdresser and owned Anthony’s Salon in New Canaan along with his sister Carmelinda for 57 years. Anthony loved his family, loved his job and he was well respected in the community. Anthony was passionate about gardening, sports, and the desire to travel.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday January 10, 2023 at St. Aloysius Church 21 Cherry Street, New Canaan at 10:00 am with entombment to follow at Lakeview Cemetery 352 Main Street, New Canaan. Friends are invited to call at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, New Canaan, on Monday January 9, 2023 from 4:00 – 8:00 pm.
Any donations should be made directly to St. Aloysius Church in New Canaan.
