Obituary of Concetta F. Gardiner
Concetta "Connie" F (Mangiafico) Gardiner, age 86, of New Canaan, CT formerly of Hartford, South Windsor, and Old Lyme died Monday afternoon, October 17th after a long illness. Connie was born in Hartford, CT January 30, 1936. She was the daughter of the late Joseph & Mary (Tostarelli) Mangiafico and was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, William N. Gardiner Sr.
Connie enjoyed many pursuits in her life. She liked to learn new things and excelled at the many careers she embarked on. She was a devout Catholic and enjoyed going to Church. But most of all, Connie was a loving wife and mother and cherished being with Bill Sr., her 3 children, and their families. Spending time with family at the beach in Old Lyme and Florida, cooking, walking, traveling, golfing, and lots of laughing were her favorite pastimes. Connie was many things - fun-loving, devoted, compassionate, generous, and always put others before herself. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Connie's survivors include her three sons, Michael P. Gardiner and his wife Rebecca of Avon, CT, William N. Gardiner Jr. and his wife Judith Larson of New Canaan, CT and Bryan M. Gardiner and his wife Cheryl of Stamford, CT, eight grandchildren, Nicholas, Tricia, Michael, Brooke, Colbey, Riley, Michele, & Robin, and several great-grandchildren.
Private funeral services will be held at St Aloysius Parish, New Canaan.
