I am so saddened to read of Hank’s passing. He and Ellen were wonderful neighbors across the street from us on Meyer Road in Hamilton. My husband, George, enjoyed his conversations with both of them. Hank and Ellen were so caring and helpful when our grandson suffered a terrible illness and we had to fly to Atlanta in 1994 just before Thanksgiving. Your Mom took care of our animals during that week and your Dad got up at 4:00 am to drive us to the airport. I never forgot their generosity. It is hard to lose good neighbors and I’m sorry we were never able to visit at Seabrook. About a year ago I went online to check on your Mom. I very nearly lost my breath when I learned she had passed in 2009. I sent a note to your Dad in Seabrook expressing my thoughts and sympathy. I hope he received it. My husband passed in March of 2019 from the throes of dementia at the age of 92. My deepest sympathy and love to your family. Your parents will remain in my memory forever.
Sincerely,
Charlotte McCarthy
