Obituary of Frank Albert Stern
Beloved husband, father and grandfather, died October 28, 2021 at the age of 89 after a brief illness. Born in Karlsruhe, Germany to Ellen and Paul Stern. Emigrated and settled in Larchmont, New York. The epitome of elegance, grace and humility, Frank loved family, world travel, tennis, chocolate, and cheap scotch, but most of all he loved Betty (Lisbeth), his wife of 67 years.
An accomplished businessman, he was a graduate of Wesleyan University and the Harvard Business School. Frank served on the board of Blythedale Children’s Hospital, an organization near and dear to his heart. In addition to the love of his life, he is survived by his children, Patti Stern Winkel (Daniel), Lisa Stern Taylor (Kevin), and Andrew Stern, as well as five grandchildren – Samantha, Dylan and Bryn Taylor and Ben and Matt Winkel -- whom he adored, and who loved him back even more.
