Obituary of Darren D. Dionne
Darren D. Dionne, 62 of New Canaan, passed away peacefully on Tuesday August 31, 2021. He was born in Huntington Long Island on January 6, 1959 to Joseph L. Dionne and Joan F. Durand Dionne of New Canaan.
Darren enjoyed a quiet lifestyle, but also enjoyed being around people and observing them. He loved music, art, puzzles, and visiting with his mother. Darren was very active in participating in the daily activities and recreation that were held at the Waveny Day program when he was there. He also attended church every Thursday which was very important to him.
Darren had a long history with Star Day programs. He first attended the star workshop on WolfpitRoad from 1991 to 2007 (16 years and he may have started well before 1991). During then attended the leisure activity day program (DSO) from 2007 to 2000 17 (10 years) Star Inc. had a significant relationship with Darren at his day program over 26 years and his residence 17 years.
Darren is survived by his mother Joan F. Dionne of New Canaan, brother Gary Dionne of New Canaan, nephew Kristopher Guerin of Delaware.
He is predeceased by his father Joseph, Sister Marsha and niece Danielle.
Services will be held privately for Darren at the family’s request.
