We first met Chris when he worked at Phillips as a client of our agency in 2017. Chris was not just a client asking for deliverables, he was an active part of our team. Without hesitation he’d roll up his sleeves and help us do the work. A genuine and impressive character.
In 2019, our team had been so impressed with Chris’ work that when we found out he was looking for a new role, we referred him to another one of our clients for the Head of Search role at Nestlé Waters. Chris led the relationship with our GSI team brilliantly. He kept us close, a quick personal call or text was his preferred communication style. But he was more than our client; he was like family or a close friend.
Todd’s memory of Chris: “We really did love him… He was such a great guy, hilarious and so fun to be with… Such a likable person, with a bigger than life personality that was just enjoyable to be around… I was really looking forward to working with him again someday.”
Shanti’s memory: “He had a positive impact on so many people’s lives, from his coworkers who all clearly adored him to his big family and all the kids he coached in lacrosse. He was a friend to us as well as a client.”
Casey’s memory: “Chris had a welcoming soul. He treated everyone with kindness and respect. Every conversation included many jokes and lots of laughter. He was a true gem of a man. His parents raised him very well. We will miss you Chris.”
Chris had a million-dollar smile and a heart to match. He made friends wherever he went. Many people in our agency were fortunate enough to meet Chris in Bend, OR at our client advisory board event in 2019. He was the life of the party and he connected with several people while here in Bend. Chris often spoke of how much he loved CAB. In fact, he was planning on engaging our agency again in his new role and was very much looking forward to his next trip out to visit us.
He was an incredible leader at his young age, full of wit and knowledge. We’d like to end this with a quote Chris shared with us recently when he left Waters to work for Revlon:
“Great is the art of beginning, but greater is the art of the ending.” – Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
We’ll miss you Chris. Our deepest condolences to all your friends and family. Rest in peace.
Lovingly from your favorite search partners: Todd Brock, Shanti Murphy and Casey Reuss

I had the pleasure of working with Chris over the last 7 months. He graciously agreed to mentor me and I will forever be grateful for the time he gave, for how willing he was to share his knowledge and for his humour. I could always count on him to bring a bit of joy to even the most difficult days. My thoughts and prayers are with his entire family and all those that are feeling his loss.

Sending the family and loved ones of Chris the deepest sympathies. He was one of a kind. I had the opportunity to work with Chris at Revlon for the past 7 months. He and I worked closely together as media was a centerpoint of the Amazon business. He brought such a passion for the business and would always provide humor and levity to any meeting. He and I held a weekly status meeting and for the first 10 minutes, we would just talk about nothing. Our favorite movies, shows etc.. Or we would just vent about things making us crazy at work. He was unlike others where Chris would tell it like it is. Nothing fluffy or sugar coated. I so appreciated and respected that of him. He would speak with such passion for coaching Lacrosse. In fact our status meetings also had to end at 3:45 so he could make practice.
Please know that he made a difference at Revlon in his short time here. He rocked all of us and will be remembered and miss. May God bless your family.

Chris and I worked together while he was part of Revlon. Beyond being an excellent client and day-to-day point of contact for the agency I work for, he was one of the best human beings I have met. Genuine, fun, caring, and above all, he treated all of us with the utmost respect. He made every Zoom meeting fun, he would change his Zoom backgrounds with fun stuff to make us guess what it was and engage us in conversation, always talked about his nieces, his puppy, his lacrosse passion, and how he wanted to help his athletes succeed in the championships. He also spoke highly of his wife and how she made his life better.
He wasn't the typical client and certainly made our client-agency relationship much better and much more human. I am so happy and privileged to have met him and worked with him.
My most sincere and wholeheartedly condolence. My heart goes out to everyone he left behind and those who loved him.
