Please know that Jackie is tucked deep in our hearts. My brother Rush and I, children of the Drs. Brown spent many hours with Jackie at the New Canaan Medical Group. Years ago our parents would just drop us at the office while they were off seeing patients elsewhere. That we must have interrupted Jackie's day, no matter it seemed. She and Toni would clear a desk for us to do our homework. They showed us how to peer into the microscope to examine blood slides, taught us how to take our temperatures and use a stethoscope to hear our little beating hearts. We got to file charts with them, and even finish off the cupcakes or other goodies left on the lab counter. Jackie and Toni always made those hours into wonderful adventures.
And now Jackie is there in the great mystery beyond. For sure she's been warmly welcomed by Charlotte and David. They're enjoying their own stories of those early days when together they grew the medical practice, from scratch. Dad's probably recited an old "office Christmas poem," to everyone's delight.
Rush and I send Jackie's family our deepest condolences and loving regards.

Dear Sue , Kim and all of Aunt Jack's friends in New Canaan - I just wanted you to know how happy I am that she had you to be with her while she was in the hospital. Thank you for being such great friends to her over the years -- some of you I have met -- others I have heard of in stories from Aunt Jack in person , on the phone or by email many times-- you were her family and meant so much to her . All of us here in Nova Scotia , my sister Sue , my cousins and my uncle Jim will miss her -- she was an important part of our lives for so long -- we always waited excitedly for her visits home each year. My sister Sue and I especially appreciated Aunt Jack being there for us when our own Mom passed -- please know our thoughts are with you all -- thank you again -- take care and stay safe -- Jane Martin ( niece)

Jackie, looking back on my years working at NCMG, my fondest memories have been of you. You ran the lab and all that was involved with poise, determination, a quick wit and respect for the doctors and our patients. You were a force to be reckoned with! And we all loved you for that. I’ve enjoyed our phone calls and visits since I retired. You were always that voice of reason, that comforting presence, that friend. Rest In peace. We’ll have a good catch up some day.

Jackie was a great friend to me. She was a wonderful listener and always had spot on advice. Her calmness in any situation was infectious. I will miss our daily phone conversations that always ended in a laugh. I am only sorry I did not have more time with her.
I am also grateful to be included in your large circle of friends.
Thanks Jackie! Until the next time.

I’ve been a neighbor of Jackie’s for 11+ Years now. She was the kindest and sweetest person. It was a pleasure to know her. I would always go to her when someone would park in my space. She would either give me an orange sticker to place on their window or walk around outside trying to figure out who the car belong to. She was the best parking police women I know. Thanks Jackie for being a great neighbor. Rest In Peace.
