We moved into Brookfield in 1997. Thru tennis I soon met George and several of his numerous friends. Over the years we became friends for which i will be forever grateful.
He was a true gentleman and he enjoyed life to the fullest.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

I am so sorry to hear of George's passing. I was a District Manager for Uarco in Peoria, Ill from 1982-1996, and worked with George on National Accounts--John Deere, State Farm, Caterpillar, etc George was a guy that everybody liked immediately upon meeting him. He was warm, a good listener, and very compassionate to the customers needs. He was a man that everybody felt good about and wanted to enjoy his wit and good-natured personality. He will be missed, but the world is a much better place because of George Batterson.6BTd

I will always hold such fond memories of George. He was someone I looked up to when I was a teenager and the legacy he has left behind is a great testament to the love and dedication he had for his family. Rest in peace George and you will no doubt be greeted with open arms by some dearly loved ones who have been patiently awaiting your arrival. ❤️

What a beautiful service. George was our best friend and will be deeply missed. We will really miss the calls for tech support. Never knew if he really had a problem or just wanted company. Didn't matter to us we were always ready to help.
One of his nicknames was Mr. Good Enough. If something needed to be done even if it wasn't exactly right George would always say its "Good Enough".
Rest in Peace sweet friend.

To the Batterson clan...I want to send the condolences from the Heineman family. Mo was a classmate of my father, Nick Heineman, at both New Canaan High School and at Wilkes College. My father passed away on March 17th of this year at 92. He was living down in Palm Coast, Florida. Mo reached out to me in my office to talk fondly about their relationship. He shared many stories. He ended the call suddenly when he started to break down. A week later he sent me a letter with pictures of them from high school and college and a few more fun comments. I know he was looking forward to traveling again to see the family once COVID settled down. He was going to reach out to me when he visited Blake in Chicago because I too live in the Chicago suburbs. I was floored when my brother, Brett, told me about his passing when he was attending a dedication ceremony for Bill and Jim Bach in New Canaan last week. Small world. Well the two buddies are together again most likely getting in trouble. All my best to you all.

Blair, Blake, Leslie and your families,
My sincere condolences as you participate in this remembrance of George on this very sad day. He was a great friend and confidant, and such a terrific host when we'd stay overnight on our trips north to Chicago or New Jersey. It was always great fun having a drink and a cigar with him overlooking the lake. We'd catch up on the latest goings-on with our respective families -- he always spoke with great love and pride about all you guys. Then we'd trade details of the books we'd recently read and enjoyed. The last time I saw George I certainly never thought it would be the last time. I was heading back from a solo motorcycle trip in North Carolina. After breakfast the next morning, I got him to pose on the Harley and told him we should send the photo to his kids letting them know that he'd just bought a new toy. Not sure he did, but I attach it here just in case. This is how I'll always remember him!
Wishing you peace and love -- George Parker

Learning of George's passing marked one of the most difficult days in my life. George and I have had friends for over 40 years and I consider myself blessed to have been able to spend many of my best times with him. We golfed, played tennis, fished and yes, even had a drink and cigar when time and place was right.
George had been planning a trip to Florida for some time and only several days before he passed, we discussed how good it would be to get together again.
My prayers go out to family and I look forward to visiting when and if a celebration of life is planned.

George was the greatest caretaker of our lake. We met in 1997 when we moved on the lake. My children were also very fond of George. while fishing with my kids George would always shout out to us about the fishing conditions. We always enjoyed the "DAM" lake meetings at his house and Carol was a sweet host. I will keep George in my memory and thoughts in the future when fishing on our lake, Thank you for your service to our country and our community, You will be remembered. RIP.

George was the “godfather “ of our little lake here in Roswell. He took it upon himself to ensure the lake and dam were maintained selflessly soliciting donations to fund the necessary projects.
Always the gentleman, our family will truly miss him, our condolences and prayers fir the family. Rest in Peace George.

Dearest Blair, Blake and family,
Words do not come easy now. Mo was, I have trouble speaking of him in the past tense, wonderful and great friend to my girls and most of all to me. He was noble in the way he thought and conducted himself, not a mean streak in him. I loved him and enjoyed talking frequently to him about Lori and Mick and old times. I will miss him. MY heart goes out to you, Blair and your family.
Remember the good times y'all had and smile when you think of Mo.
Love, Jutta

I never had the pleasure of meeting your dad, but you spoke so fondly of him over the years that I feel like I did, and I know I would have liked him. The world is surely a worse place for having lost him. Our best to you and your family.
