I'm sorry I couldn't be there for Uncle Bob's Memorial Service, but along with many fond memories, I have something to say.
Let me tell you a story about my Uncle Bob, as he always called me "Little Sarah."
I spent a good amount of my childhood with my Aunt and Uncle. He taught me that even though my childhood was not the best, that I could succeed in life. He encouraged my further education, which I did. He also taught me the value of getting a job and working hard, which I did.
Most importantly, he and my beloved Aunt Sally gave me the stability to succeed in life.
Although I knew my Uncle Bob was very successful, I had no idea of all his achievements until I read through his obituary! To me, he was always simply Uncle Bob. He came home from his job, grabbed a beer, started the grill and always said hi ya Sall! He was just my normal Uncle Bob.
I miss you Uncle Bob, but I know that you are with your beloved Sally...my Aunt Sally.

What is the best way to say sorry for your loss,
Do not despair in this time of loss,
Everyone will miss him but,
As you look back remember the good times he brought to our lives,
There are no words that can make you feel better but only,
Hope that there is a better place he has reached before us.
Truly sorry for your loss.

Dear Bob,
You were an inspiration to us all.
Your support to our chemicals business in Europe was second to none.
Your visits to Geneva and Budapest where Elisabeth and I had the pleasure of meeting you were very inspiring. Your memory for our names when meeting in the corridors of Danbury was always astonishing!
We address our heartfelt condolences to your family and wish them strength.
You shall be missed but never forgotten.
Best wishes from John and Elisabeth Stokoe

Bob had been a client of Davco for as long as I can remember, but he was always more to me, he was a friend. Bob always took time to come over when we were working, not just to say hi, he would ask about the business, family, and genuinely looked at it as a time to catch up. I always respected and admired him for that. A true gentleman. A quality I've always valued and strive to replicate. A great soul has risen. Bob, you will be missed and will always be fondly remembered.

From the Romary family, please accept our deepest sympathies, and we hope that you can celebrate a wonderful life well lived. My father Jules and Bob were lifelong friends and colleagues. I remember fondly spending time with Mr. Kennedy when he and Sally would visit at our family home in Westport CT. When I first graduated from Engineering School (Bob was also a Mechanical Engineer), I met with Bob for career advice. He was truly generous, intelligent and caring. Bob lived life to the fullest. As the Masters Golf Tournament is happening this week, I also recall my Dad's favorite golf story about playing Augusta National with Bob Kennedy in the early 1990s. My son Blake is a Freshman at New Hampton School, and I know he is also benefiting from Bob's years of service to the school - Tom Romary

Uncle Bob, I will miss you as everyone who knows you will. You have been such an important influence in my life. When I was 16, I and your nephew George Danner Kennedy, Jr. who was my best friend, were on the way to a day at skiing at Hunter Mountain. This was interrupted by a car going the wrong way on on a NY State Thruway ramp in Suffern NY at the time. This car hit us head on. It was like we hit a wall at 65 MPH. I and Dan(George Danner Kennedy Jr.) suffered major injuries, but fortunately survived and overcame the damage. Uncle Bob stayed with me in the different hospital where Dan was and Dan's Dad, George D. Kennedy was with him at the hospital where he was. Uncle Bob was also a mentor for me. I think the one thing I will miss most with his passing is the way he smiled. He was a very special person.
