So sorry to hear of the passing of Mrs. Dolan. I was staying at my in-laws, Walter and Clare Danielewski, after giving birth to my son, their grandson. Carol was so nice in welcoming us. I remember her giving my son baby clothes and helpful new mother advice. Yet what all the Danielewski family remembers is Mrs Dolan chicken and mushroom recipe. I can say I personally have made it hundreds of times and have shared it with many people over the last 40 years. Alway calling this gourmet meal “Mrs Dolan Chicken”. Again so sorry for your loss.
Darlene Danielewski.

I feel so blessed to have had many, many Christmas Holidays in Connecticut. Dinner at Anne and Joe’s then off to Bill and Carol’s for desert. So many fond memories. I was able to enjoy time with Bill and Carol and their kids. If I remember correctly Bill would be sporting some crazy hat he received as a gift. I believe it was something they did every year. Being one of Bill’s youngest cousins I was close in age to some of the kids. I was able to spend a lot of time with Christine and Will the more reserved kids and Matt and Steven the more rambunctious ones. They were all so much fun to be around.
Carol always in the kitchen with the most amazing recipes ready for us to gorge on. I have quite a few I use to this day. I would have to call her and ask where do I find those pastry sheets or what did I do wrong, they taste nothing like yours!
I used to take photos during those times and I would get a look like “don’t you dare take a photo of me”! Sometimes I listened and sometimes not! She meant it. LOL.
Her humor was the best. I know my Dad especially enjoyed her company too so long ago. They would joke around a lot. Carol was always one I would seek out at family events. She made things fun. Then she would disappear without a trace. I would look around and say “dammit she did it again”.
Such great times. In honor of her I will not post a photo!! Will miss her terribly. Love you all!
Love,
Beth and Steve Lauro

What a gift and a privilege to have had Carol in my life. Her humor and sense of fun,her incredible artistic and creative talents that had no boundaries, for us all to enjoy. Her quiet sense of kindness and way of reaching out, when you least expected it. She truly was one of a kind and I will miss her more than words can say.
My heartfelt condolences to her wonderful family that she loved so very much.
Rest in peace my special friend.

Carol was a special friend. She called us the ‘Bridgettes’! We played bridge with her weekly for several years until her illness got in the way. She was a much more experienced bridge player than we but she answered our questions thoughtfully and never made us feel anything but competent. When we consistently forgot who the dealer was, she simply brought a colorful Lei to drape around the neck of the dealer! It became a cherished talisman.
Over bridge we shared stories about our grandchildren, solved the world’s problems and, of course, talked food and recipes. We were constantly awed by Carol’s skill and creativity as a cook and baker. Each of us had our favorites: baked breakfast casserole, coffee rub for meat, cookie sheet apple pie, and her special Christmas morning coffee cake.
Carol was easy to be with. She was funny, smart, perceptive and kind. She was the friend who made each of us better for having known her. We miss her and will forever be her ‘Bridgettes’❤️

The beautiful sister I shared a room with as a child was the funniest person I’ve ever known, the most capable woman and mother I could have learned from, and the best example of how to express love. Special, remarkable and irreplaceable, I love you and will miss you terribly.
