What a beautiful memorial service I attended virtually just now! My deepest condolences to the family. I can see how loving and close you all are. I knew Jack from the New Canaan MemoirWriting group and saw him in the morning of the day he passed away, at our monthly meeting. He was the usual smiling, cheerful, upbeat Jack, a cornerstone of our group. We are blessed to have had him with us for so many years. He will be long remembered and his flying stories sorely missed!

Jack was a true friend of 70 years and never a cross word between us. A complete life shared with family, friends and associates. On a personal note, Jack & I played varsity squash rackets at Fordham. He was a great player winning a championship at the NYAC and participating in the national squash championships against the very best. He played like the genteman he always was. He influenced my life so much and always stayed in touch. I wish him well in returning to an everlasting youth
He will be issed.
Hail & farwell

Megan,
I am so sorry for your loss. My son Jordan attended Memoir Writing classes and he always spoke highly of your father.
What a huge loss to our community and to your family.
May the memories of your father provide you with comfort and serve as your guidance.
With caring thoughts,

We moved into the neighborhood a few years after the Murray’s. I remember thinking how cool it was that they had a big family like us! Mr. and ‘Mrs. Murray were always so involved in the community and St. A’s. Looking back I would describe Jack as being larger than life and always a smile!
Our family sends our deepest sympathies, thoughts and prayers for the loss of a father and husband who left an incredible legacy of family, love, Christlike service and hard work. No doubt he was welcomed into a loving Saviors arms for the great work he accomplished here!
Hugs from our family to yours-

Please accept my deepest sympathies. I was involved in a St. A's high school group that met at his home. I'll always remember his warm hospitality and kind personality.

I knew my cousin Jack from the infrequent visits to his parents, my Uncle John and Aunt Agnes. I remember them as two of the most gracious, sophisticated people I would ever meet. From them flowed the traits so well described in Jack.
