I worked with Gerry at Federal's Dept. Store in Detroit during the 70's. He was a very popular man with everyone.

Lesley met Jerry for the first time 50+ years go when he was Peter Meyers’ Best Man and she was Susan’s Maid of Honor. Over the years the Kammerman’s have had some beautiful memories- usually at The Rubenfeld’s gracious home. We had lost contact but occasionally would run into Jerry or Laura, have an endless conversation, perhaps in a parking lot somewhere with the usual, “let’s keep in touch”. Unfortunately, we didn’t. Laura - No need to tell what a special guy he was. I (Lesley) knew he was special over 50 years ago. Lesley and John Kammerman

To tell the story of my years with my cousin Gerry could take a lifetime. I remember as a kid Gerry’s family live in queens NY. He was 2 years older and about 10 inches taller and light years smarter. We alway we’re outside playing some kind of ball. Oh yes he was also a great athlete. If we go to the basketball courts & played I knew he loved me but he’d beat the crap out of me in the game. Highly competitive. And so was I but he was a lot bigger & it showed. I also remember looking up to him as a kid. Not because he was taller or bigger but because even then Gerry had a special air about himself. It was with me no problem for him to show me love and make me feel better in those games than I really was.
Our family visited the Rubinfeld’s a lot when they moved to Huntington LI and again I loved those time when with Gerry & Michael he’s younger we would stay out till dark playing games. We continued to be friend throughout out life’s. When Gerry & Laura moved to Dallas & Gerry would come to NY for business I would meet him in the city for dinner & he always had some musical surprise for me. Often we’d go out to see a band that he knew I either knew some in it or that I loved. I never had I brother & in my life to have had Gerry was truly a gift. I live in Naples Florida and when I watched Yankee games we would email each other 6 or 7 times during the games. He loved the Yankees & was tuff on them at the same time. The last email I got from Gerry was about the Di Di trade. He wasn’t happy about that.
I always hear people say after someone has passed that we we’re lucky to have had them in our lives. I miss him already and he has gone to soon. I’m 75 now and have had many people in my life but I can easily say that no one has made a greater impression on me then my wonderful cousin Gerry. Isn’t it ironic that baseball is going to be cancelled this year. Now that there best fan has gone.
I was soooo lucky to have had you in my life. I will love you till my last breath. RIP

My cousin Gerry was quick witted and funny. He was beautiful on the inside and outside. Although we didn't see each other often as adults I Ioved him dearly. I have wonderful childhood memories of spending time with him and his family. RIP cousin.
