My wife Sherrill and I met Ralph and Gloria about 25 years ago at the Red Petticoat. We became instantly fond of each other and proceeded to fill up our home with pieces from them. The furniture had a special meaning to us as we felt that every piece had their “spirit” attached to it.
We continued to visit Ralph and Gloria’s, as it came to be known, until the Red Petticoat closed. We visited even when we didn’t need any furniture but always found something to take home with us. Every now and then we even took home one of Ralph’s homemade cakes.
We live with these antiques to this day and are reminded about these very special people every day of our lives.
It was our good fortune to have met Ralph and Gloria and their daughter Carol as well.
Rest in peace Gloria, you very special, beautiful human being. We will miss you.
