Carol W. Cole, 71 of Coxsackie, NY and formally of Vista NY, passed away unexpectedly at home on January 1, 2020. Carol was born on August 22, 1948 in Norwalk, CT to the late Lester and Margaret O'Connell Wakeman. Carol is survived by her husband of fifty years Robert, a retired New Canaan Police Officer. Daughters Amy Vinci, of Pound Ridge, Candice Cole of Coxsackie and Megan Putnick of Fairfield CT. Grandchildren Safiya, Justin, Kayla, Isaiah, Avery, Riis and Jaida. Carol is also survived by her brother Donald Wakeman and predeceased by brothers Robert Wakeman and Richard Wakeman. Carol attended John Jay High School, Class of 1967 in Cross River NY. She worked for the Town of New Canaan, Serviceman's Oil Company of New Canaan and owner of Gift Box in Coxsackie NY. Carol was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Meem, will be missed dearly. The Cole family will receive friends at Hoyt Funeral, 199 Main Street, New Canaan, CT on Friday, January 10, 2020 from 4pm-8pm. A prayer service will be held at Hoyt Funeral Home on Saturday, January 11, 2020 at 10am.
