I remember Mrs. Friend when I was a teenager volunteering at the Lockwood-Mathews Mansion in the 1970's and later. She was a very dignified person, and very nice to my brother and I when we were there.
Mrs. Friend was very encouraging to us, and when she was pleased with a project or event she was as proud as if she was your parent. I still think of her in the handsome red convertible that she was driving.
My sincere condolences to her family and friends, I know that she will be missed very much.
To The Family of Doris Friend,
I’m so sorry and sad to hear about the passing of your beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was a wonderful neighbor to our dad at Hathaway Commons. She lived 2 doors down from him and often he would be outside sitting on her patio with other neighbors.
You are in my thoughts and prayers during this sad time. May God continue to love , bless and comfort you today , tomorrow and always.
Thank You for sharing her with our dad and the Hathaway Commons Family.
