Obituary of Alfred H Napoletano

Alfred H. Napoletano, 94, a long-time resident of Stamford, CT.  passed away on July 3, 2019 at Stamford Hospital with his loving family by his side.  Al was born on June 6, 1925 in Stamford, CT to the late Natale Napoletano and Jennie Giancola.  Alfred is survived by his loving wife, Sylvia P. Napoletano, his daughter Janet A. Napoletano, his sister Jo-Ann DiPanni and several nephews and a niece.  He was predeceased by his brothers Rudolph H Napoletano and Anthony Napoletano.

He graduated from Stamford High School in 1943 and was immediately drafted into the army and attained the rank of Sergeant.  After discharge, he attended the University of Bridgeport and also Merrill Business School.  He was employed by several automobile dealerships prior to becoming co-owner along with his brothers and cousin of Rudy Pontiac Incorporated.  Alfred enjoyed golf and belonged to Shorehaven Golf Club for many years.  He also belonged to the Knights of Columbus.

He had a natural gift for woodworking and home repairs. 

The Napoletano family will receive friends on Monday, July 8, 2019 from 8:30 – 10:30 am at Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St., New Canaan, CT.  A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Al’s life will be held on July 8, 2019 at 11:00 am at St. Leo Parish, Stamford, CT.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in New Canaan.  In lieu of flowers contributions in Al’s memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.  For online condolences and directions please visit www.hoytfuneralhome.com.
