William Filonuk Jr, age 58 of Westport, CT formerly of New Canaan, CT died on Saturday May 25, 2013 in Yale- New Haven Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Susan Elizabeth Filonuk, and his precious and loving son, David T. Filonuk of Pittsburg PA He is also survived by his father, William Filonuk, Sr and his brother, James Filonuk and his wife, Jo-Anne and their children, Caryn, Jason and Matthew of Plainview, NY. Bill was a Managing Director with BNY Mellon, an avid cyclist, musician, and writer. He has been known to pick up a hammer and nail as well. Bill completed both his BA in Mathematics and his MBA in Finance at Fordham University. A memorial visitation will be held on Monday, June 3, 2013 from 4 to 8 PM at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, New Canaan. Interment will be private.
