Obituary of Michael Vitti
Michael P. Vitti, age 76 of Norwalk, CT and formerly of New Canaan for many years, died Tuesday evening April 9, 2013 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in Stamford, CT on May 28, 1936, he was the son of the late Michael and Lena Mattiello Vitti. Michael was the husband of Natalie Leonard Vitti.
Mike was an avid sports fan. He loved the UConn Huskies, and was a huge New Canaan Rams supporter. He especially loved to play and watch golf, and worked as a ranger at Oak Hills Park for many years.
In addition to his wife, Mike is survived by a daughter Melissa Grandinetti of Bethel CT, a step-son John Langhorne of Green Valley, AZ, a step-daughter Elizabeth Redinger of Southbury, CT and two grandchildren Jordan and Jaylena Grandinetti.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday April 15, 2013 at 11:00 am at St. Aloysius Church, Cherry Street, New Canaan, CT. Interment will be private. Friends may call at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, New Canaan on Sunday evening from 4 to 8 pm.
