Obituary of Rita McCauley
Rita M. McCauley, age 99, of New Canaan, CT formerly of Irvington, NY died Saturday evening April 6, 2013 in Waveny Care Center New Canaan with her loving family by her side. She was the wife of the late Francis X. McCauley. Born in Jersey City on January 8, 1914, she was the daughter of the late James and Delia Tracy Conway. One of only three of her ten siblings to survive to adulthood, Rita leaves behind her son John F. McCauley and his wife Theresa of Ardsley, NY, her daughter Rita Marie Stone of New Canaan, CT and granddaughters, Maribeth McCauley, and Megan McCauley and her husband Eric Weinstein.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday April 12, 2013 at 10:00 AM in St Thomas More Church, Middlesex Road, Darien, CT. Interment will be private in the family plot in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Valhalla, NY. The family wishes to thank the staff at Waveny for the exemplary way they took care of Rita.
