Nell was my roommate at the Kappa Delta house at University of Kentucky. Though I had lost touch with her, one of my fondest memories of those college days was of her quiet, peace-making ways with our whole membership. She is at peace now with the love of her life, John. But I will never forget her.

Dear Coulter family:
I just read Ann's eulogy column and was so inspired to read about such a loving Godly and patriotic woman. What a legacy! I went to law school with Ann and am so proud of Ann, and wanted you to know your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Ann, I just read the warm tribute you wrote about your mother, Nell. All I can say is she must have been quite a woman who touched so many lives and cared for so many people! Having watched and listened to you over the years, it is obvious her fingerprints and those of your dad are all over you! The tribute you wrote to her speaks volumes of the love and dedication she had for you and your brothers. I want to thank her for instilling, in you, the strong values and character that you display through your words, whether written or verbal, every day. Although I did not know your mom and do not know you personally, my family and I are privelged to have known her whenever we see and hear you.
Best regards,
Jeff Lang

My condolences to the Coulter family. Nell was a resident of The Greens @ Canondale, where my mom was also a resident. My mom, Libby, passed away on December 30th and always thought highly of Nell. After my mom's passing, when visiting my Dad at The Greens, and I saw Nell in the dining room, she always reminded my of my mom - classy and dignified. Nell will be missed.

To the Coulter Family,
Please accept my condolences on the loss of your beloved mother. How blessed you all must feel to have had such a lovely lady as your mother/grandmother. I read last year of the loss of your father as well, and want to express my deepest sympathy for his loss as well. To lose both parents in such a short time must be very difficult. Please know that your family is in my prayers.
Sincerely,
A woman who greatly admires Ann Coulter and her ability to put into words what so many of us feel.

Dear Ann, I am very sorry for your loss. It is obvious from the information provided in the newpaper where you got your initial baptism into politics. I would be remiss if I did not take this opportunity to let you know that my dad - Harold David Hargan - was your #1 fan (although, I am sure he has lots of company). He died in August, 2008, a month after his 77th birthday. He was active in politics from my earliest memories - either running for office, trying to get others elected (or defeated) or discussing (or cussing!!!) them. He loved to read your books and you DELIGHTED him everytime you appeared on TV. I can yet see his broad grin and hear his laugh as he watched you rip up yet another interviewer. He would repeat your remarks and quote from one of your books often. You were such a beautiful, bright spot in his life, I feel that I owe you a deep debt of gratitude. You lit up his life, especially when his health prevented him from being as active as he had been in the past. Thank you for your wit, wisdom and intellectual prowess - on behalf of my beloved father, H.D. Hargan.

I am so sorry for your loss. My mother was Clara B. Dismukes of Paducah and she and Nell were close friends. I remember mother talking about Doty but never met her. Mother and I would go to Nell's upstairs apartment on Fountain Avenue. It was so lovely and tasteful. Ann Katterjohn Longshore was my Godmother. Mother and Daddy (Paul W. Dismukes) were good friends with Merle and Katter. I do know Jack and Jimmy, which was many years ago and hope life has been kind.Sam Dawkins, who now lives in Florida, is a friend of Jimmy's.

Nell and I were girlhood friends in Paducah, Ky, and at one time, "across-the-street" neighbors. She was a lovely person and good friend. I will keep her in my prayers. Condolences to the Coulter family.
