Nancy S. Brown, age 81, a lifelong New Canaan resident died peacefully Tuesday February 19, 2013 at Waveny Care Center. Born in New Canaan March 4, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Frank and Pierina Stenta Spadaccini. Nancy was the wife of the late Wendell P. Brown Jr. who died in 1960. After her mother’s death in 1934, she was raised by the family of Daniel and Maria Assunta Conetta. Nancy attended New Canaan schools and graduated from New Canaan High School in 1949. She was employed with various banks in New Canaan, the last being the Bank of New Canaan. She is survived by her devoted son, Wendell P. Brown III of New Canaan, her sisters, Angela Conetta Christiano and Loretta Conetta Serafino both of Stamford, sisters-in-law Lily Conetta of Stamford, Eleanor Spadaccini of RI. and Sandra Brown Fasano of PA. Friends and caregivers during her illness Jackie Mola and many loving nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband she was predeceased by her brothers, Joseph Spadaccini and Mario and Anthony Conetta, and brother-in-law Kenneth Brown. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday February 23, 2013 at 11:00AM at St Aloysius Church, Cherry Street, New Canaan, where she was a lifetime member.
