Robert F. Sinchak, 51, of New Milford, CT died peacefully on February 15, 2013 at Yale New Haven Hospital, surrounded by his family. Bob is survived by his wife Kris Soderstrom, his parents Jack and Marilynn Sinchak of Fairfield, CT, his brother Tom of Wilton and his wife Marla, his sisters Anne Marie Merrell of Atlanta, GA and Ellen Wells of Rutland, MA and their husbands Bob and Art, Kris' brother Fabian Soderstrom of Newtown, CT and seven nieces and nephews, all of whom loved him deeply. Also surviving are his beloved dogs, Buddy and Missy and countless friends throughout Fairfield County. Born on November 19, 1961, Bob graduated from Wilton High School. He worked first as a plumber and later had his own stump grinding business. He spent many happy hours with friends and family piloting his pontoon boat on Candlewood Lake, where he and Kris lived for the past 18 years. Friends may call on Sunday, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, New Canaan. A memorial Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima in Wilton on Monday at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made in honor of Bob's love for Buddy and Missy to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA).
