Mr. Panzano I'm very sorry to hear that you have died, my blessings go to you and your family. I went to Plymouth Junior High from 1968 to 1971 and unfortunately I wasn't one of your better students. One time while in the cafeteria I was separated from the other students by having to sit at a desk over by the wall, well you caught me talking to someone and to this day I think I still feel it when you took your open hand with your ring on it and whacked me on the top of my head. That shot a pain to my toes......OUCH!!!!! Well I'm sure I deserved it. After 9th grade my family and I moved to Florida in the summer of 1971. While I was in the Air Force a few years later my cousin Louie Traveline ran into you on the beach while you were vacationing in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Unfortunately Louie was killed in a automobile accident in January 1979. Well sir I know it didn't look to promising for me in those days at the school but I did turn out. I'm 60 years old now ( wow where did the time go ) and I'm a retired firefighter/lieutenant. You rest in peace Mr. Panzano and you and I will shoot the breeze when I someday come upstairs. Mr. Panzano was the assistant VP during my junior high school years in the early 1980's. He was a good man who made me want to be a better person at a young age. I'm sure that his family is extremely proud of the person that he was, and always will be remembered as being. Rest in peace Mr. Panzano.

It was a pleasure to have met and known Vince and share in his weekly Kiwanis Flag Lowing Ceremony at the Cove in Cape May. The ceremony was started by Vince and it was his passion and love for county to honor those that served and educate our children. He would arrive nightly regardless which Kiwanian was responsible that evening. He never missed. He was an icon and local residents and visiting guests would always ask, "How's Vince." I salute you and God Bless to your family.

As a teacher at the Colonial Middle School who worked with & served under Vince (as he was one of my supervisors/administrators), I was saddened to hear of his passing. I just checked my yearbooks, & I believe I knew him for most of my 36-year teaching career, as he was a Vice Principal at Plymouth Jr. High School when I started teaching there in 1971. I remember that while some kids didn't like him (if they were naughty & had the misfortune to be disciplined by him!), most kids respected him & felt he was fair in meting out discipline. He certainly made my job easier by taking care of most of the problems I referred to him. After I retired in 2004, I saw Vince a few times at a breakfast held for retired teachers & administrators the first Tuesday of every month. He always retained his sense of humor & seemed to mellow out a little bit in his later years. I will always appreciate the help he gave me as I attempted to improve my teaching over the years.

I served 15 years at Colonial as Superintendent of Schools and during that time Vince was a loyal, well respected administrator. He had a wonderful, cheerful relationship with students and faculty.
