Nancy Rehm Greene, 84, Longtime Resident After living in New Canaan for more than 50 years, Nancy Greene passed away on Wednesday, August 8. She was the wife of the late Walter L. Greene and the daughter of the late Alice and John Harrison Rehm of Darien. A graduate of Greenwich Academy and Columbia University, Nancy later earned her Master’s Degree in Education at Western Connecticut State University. She worked in the field of education until she retired in 1985, when she was Director of Piper's Hill pre-school in Stamford. For the next 15 years, she pursued her passion for American antiques and became a dealer in them. She was a member of the New Canaan Historical Society, the New Canaan Garden Center and the New Canaan Sewing Group. Mrs. Greene is survived by her children; Liza Greene of New York, Phyllis Greene of Westport, Walter Greene, Jr. of Westport, Christopher Greene of Redding and eight grandchildren. She was predeceased by her sister Susan Richards of Savannah Georgia. The Memorial Service will be held at St Marks on Tuesday, August 14 at 11:30 am.
