Obituary of Donna Marie Foster
Donna Marie Schettino Foster, 50 of Hamden and longtime New Haven resident died Thursday, February 6, 2014 in Yale New Haven Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born in New Haven, June 6th 1963, she was the daughter of Anthony Schettino of Hamden and Mary Jane Maguire Schettino of North Branford. Donna was the wife of William (Gus) Foster. In addition to her husband and parents, Donna is survived by daughters Nicole Foster, Jaclyn Lucibello, and son Vincent Lucibello, all of Hamden, sister Tracy (Stephen) McMillen of North Branford, stepchildren William Foster, Jr. (Angel) and Nikia Jackson (John), both of West Haven, maternal grandmother Marion Maguire of New Haven, and eight grandchildren. Donna was predeceased by her sister Michelle Schettino, her maternal grandfather John Maguire and her parental grandparents Ralph and Carmel Schettino.
Donna was Assistant Director at the Columbus House in New Haven for several years. Before that, she was employed by New Haven Taxi Cab co. She received her Associates degree from Gateway Community College and was continuing her education at Southern CT State University. Donna was an avid sports fan, particularly the New York Yankees and the UCONN women’s Basketball team.
A memorial mass will be celebrated on Friday, February 14th at 10 o’clock a.m. at St. Augustine’s Church, 30 Caputo Rd. North Branford, CT. Interment will be private.
