Juliana M. Dorkhom-Hoke, age 52, died Tuesday July 10, 2012 in Memorial Sloan-Kettering Hospital, New York City after a courageous battle with cancer, with her loving family by her side. Born in Beirut, Lebanon July 31, 1959 she was the daughter of Salwa Dorkhom of Toronto, Canada and the late Michael Dorkhom. Juliana was the wife William Hoke. Juliana graduated with Distinction in 1982 from New York State University at Albany with a BS degree in Accounting, in 1984 She received her MS in Business Management from Beirut University College (NYC) with Distinction and in 1995 she graduated Cum Laude from Walsh College in Troy, NY with an MS in Taxation. She was a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Juliana spoke Arabic, French and English and loved to travel. In addition to her husband and mother Juliana is survived by her sister, Jasmine Dorkhom of Toronto, and her two brothers, Joseph Dorkhom of Malden, Mass and Jack Dorkhom of Rochester, NY. A funeral service will be held on Monday July 16, 2012 at 10:00 Am at the Church of the Archangels, 1527 Bedford Street, Stamford, Ct 06905 with interment to follow in Lakeview Cemetery, New Canaan. The family will receive friends on Sunday evening at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main Street, New Canaan from 5 to 7 pm. There will be a Trisagion service at 6:00 PM.
