Glenn T. Varga, age 53, a lifelong resident of New Canaan died suddenly June 20, 2012 at Norwalk Hospital. Born in Stamford October 5, 1958, he was the beloved son of Theodore Varga of New Canaan and the late Grace Brown Varga. A self-employed carpenter, Glenn was an avid sports enthusiast. He loved to play softball and football and was an avid Mets and Vikings fan. Glenn loved to reflect on the past. He loved the town of New Canaan, his father, helping neighbors, fishing, and “bucket” gardening. He was a former member of the New Canaan Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his father, survivors include his sister Donna Matthews of Windsor, CT and his brother Stephen and his wife Joan of Southbury, CT. A memorial service will be held on Friday June 29, 2012 at 12:00 noon at the Hoyt Funeral Home 199 Main Street, New Canaan, CT the family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
