Obituary of Margaret Harvey
Margaret Landgraf Harvey, age 90, of Sarasota, Florida and Edgartown, Martha’s Vineyard formerly of New Canaan and Wilson Point, Rowayton died Monday February 27, 2012 in Norwalk Hospital. Born in Winnipeg, Canada March 12, 1921 she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Agnes LaLonde Landgraf. Margaret was the widow of Robert J. Harvey.
Margaret was a proud member of the New Canaan Women’s Club, the Martha’s Vineyard Historical Society, the Ringling Museum and Siesta Key Association in Sarasota, FL as well as the Rowayton Library and Garden Club.
She is survived by her son, David L. Harvey and his wife Carol of New Canaan,
Her three daughters, Mary (Candy) Duffy and her husband Daniel of North Caldwell, NJ, Catherine Murray-Rust of Atlanta, GA and Claire Therriault and her husband John of Keene, NH.
Nine grandchildren; Martha Merritt, Sarah Duffy, Robert Murray-Rust, Elizabeth Murray-Rust, Danielle Therriault, Jay Therriault, Charles Therriault, Trevor Harvey, Derek Harvey and 5 great-grandchildren also survive.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St Aloysius Church, Cherry St, New Canaan, Interment will be on Martha’s Vineyard.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the St John Fisher Seminary Residence, 894 Newfield Avenue, Stamford, CT 06905.
