Betty O’Shea, 90, while surrounded by her loving family, passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 18th, at Norwalk Hospital. Her love provided a guiding light to her family, by whom she will be greatly missed. She was the beloved wife of 57 years of the late Martin V. O’Shea, Sr. She was a long time resident of Park Ridge, NJ where she raised her four children and was active with her husband, Martin, as a parishioner at Our Lady of Mercy Church. Ten years ago, Betty and Martin moved to Wilton, CT to share their love in the daily lives of their children and grandchildren. She was active at the Wilton YMCA, in the Wilton Library book group, and in Our Lady of Fatima parish. She is survived by four children and their spouses: Marty and Marilyn O’Shea of Brookfield, CT, Betty Ann and James McVeety of Woodbridge, CT, Margaret O’Shea of Totowa, NJ, and Mary and Ray Eckert of Wilton, CT, in addition to ten grandchildren and one great-grandson. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Fatima Church in Wilton, CT, on Thursday February 23rd at 10:30 AM.
