Obituary of Loreta Frattaroli
Loreta Frattaroli, 78, a New Canaan resident for over 50 years, died Friday, July 31, 2009 at her home.
Born January 1, 1931, in Settefrati, Itally, she was the daughter of the late Michael & Carmela Vitti Socci. From Italy, she carried over her passion for family, food and faith.
She is survived by her three sons, Claudio Frattaroli and his wife Maria of South Salem, NY, Carmine Frattaroli of New Canaan, Rocco Frattaroli and his wife Patricia of Norwalk. Two brothers, Dario Socci of New Canaan and Dominic Socci of Newtown, CT. Two sisters, Christina D’Amario of New Canaan and Donna DeMarco of New Canaan. 6 grandchildren, Maelina, Nicholas, Kristina, Daniel, Laura and John also survive.
Mrs. Frattaroli was predeceased by her husband, Costantino and her son Mario in 2004.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, August 3, 2009 at St. Aloysius Church, New Canaan at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at St. John Cemetery, Darien.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 2, 2009 from 1-5 PM at the Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main St. New Canaan.
