Stuart D. Draudt, age 81, of Toms River, New Jersey formerly of North Stamford, and Westchester County, died Tuesday June 4, 2013 in New Jersey. Born in Mount Vernon, NY September 14, 1931, he was the son of the late Harry and Eleanor Murray Draudt. Stuart was the husband of Joan Mazzaferro Draudt. Stuart was raised in New Rochelle, NY where he attended Iona Preparatory School before obtaining a B.A. from Fordham University. Stuart then began a successful sales career in the paper and packaging industry before establishing his own packaging company. Following in his father's footsteps, Stuart was a long-time member of Wykagyl Country Club where he enjoyed playing golf and spending time with his family before retiring to NJ to be closer to his beloved daughters and their growing families. In addition to his wife, survivors include two daughters, Laura Giaccio and her husband Anthony of Ramsey, NJ, and Debra Draudt-Spiwak and her husband Al of Colts Neck, NJ, and two sisters, Patricia Dalton of Norwalk, CT and Barbara Chisholm of New Canaan, CT. Three grandchildren, Ava Caroline Giaccio, Ben Spiwak and Devon Spiwak also survive. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 10:30 am at Church of the Holy Spirit, 403 Scofieldtown Rd, Stamford, CT 06903. Interment will follow in Lakeview Cemetery, New Canaan. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Hurricane Sandy Relief through the American Red Cross (www.redcross.org/donate).
