Catherine Chung, beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away on August 21, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was 68 years old.

Born in Hong Kong, Catherine came to the United States at a young age and took on responsibilities far beyond her years. She helped run the household while her parents worked long hours, all while learning English and attending school. Those early experiences helped shape the independence and determination that would define her life.

Throughout her life, Catherine brought extraordinary determination, energy, curiosity, and heart to everything she did. Fearless, ambitious, endlessly capable, and almost always in motion, she was a force of nature. Beneath that drive was an enormous generosity of spirit, a deeply caring nature, and a fierce loyalty to the people around her.

For 41 years, Catherine and her husband, Michael, shared a life centered on love, opportunity, experience, and family. Of everything she accomplished, Catherine often said that her children, Christina and Andrew, were what made her proudest. More than any accomplishment, it was who they became that mattered most to her. She was especially proud that they always took care of one another, through thick and thin.

She found joy in music, gardening, cooking, entertaining, traveling, and creating a beautiful and welcoming home. She loved bringing people together and had a gift for making everyday life feel special.

Catherine is survived by her loving husband, children, parents, brother, extended family, and many dear friends.
