Peter Joseph "Pete" DuJack, Jr., passed away peacefully on July 19, 2026, in Norwalk, Connecticut, at the age of 82. Born on July 13, 1944, in Baltimore, Maryland, Pete was the son of Peter Joseph DuJack and Mary Julia (Price) DuJack. 

Pete spent virtually his entire life in the Brooklyn Park community of Maryland, where he built a life centered on family and hard work. In his final years, he moved to a nursing home in Norwalk, Connecticut, to be closer to his daughter, Amanda, where he spent his remaining days surrounded by the love and support of family. 

Pete proudly served his country as a member of the United States Air Force, where he was a Military Policeman. Following his military service, he devoted his professional career to the Maryland State Highway Administration, from which he retired after many years of dedicated public service. 

Outside of work, Pete enjoyed spending time on the golf course, attending a good rock concert and sampling local seafood. (He often joked about his “seafood diet” as: “I see food, I eat it!”)  Whether following his favorite music or enjoying a round of golf with friends, he appreciated the simple pleasures that made life enjoyable. 

Pete was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Diana DuJack. 

He is lovingly remembered by his son, Gary Franklin DuJack, and his daughter, Amanda Arleene Wierenga (née DuJack). He was a proud grandfather to Caitlyn DuJack and Boyd DuJack, Gary's children, and to Amber Wierenga, Amanda's daughter. His family was a constant source of pride, and he cherished the time he spent with each of them. 

Pete will be remembered for his quiet dedication to his family, his years of faithful public service, and the lasting relationships he built throughout a life well lived. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
