Nancy Ciaraldi, 84, of Avon-by-the -Sea, New Jersey, died peacefully at home on November 16th, surrounded by her loving family.
Nancy was born on March 24th, 1941, in Rose, Italy to Gabriele and Rosaria Docimo. She grew up there until she immigrated to the United States at the age of 15 and resided in Stamford, Connecticut. It was there she met the love of her life, Anthony. They married in 1962 and raised their three children, John, Marie and Carla in Stamford.
Nancy was known for her loving, beautiful and kind spirit! She devoted her life to her family and held close to her many cherished friends! Nancy was also a nurturing and dedicated paraprofessional, servicing disabled children for over 25 years in Stamford, Public Schools. For many years, she was an active member in the Women’s Auxiliary for the ARI of Stamford.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Anthony Ciaraldi, her daughters, Marie Calabro and her husband John, Carla Nappo and her husband, James and her five beloved grandchildren, John Calabro, Amanda Calabro, Melissa Calabro, James Nappo and Caroline Nappo; and her sisters, Carmela Longo and Mary Ciaraldi. Nancy is predeceased by her parents, Gabriele and Rosaria Docimo, her younger sister, Carmela Docimo and her adored son, John Anthony Ciaraldi!
Visitation will be on Sunday, November 23, 2025, from 2:00 – 5:00 PM at Hoyt Funeral Home, 199 Main Street in New Canaan, CT. Family and friends are invited to attend a mass of Christian burial at St. Cecilia-Gabriel Church, 1184 Newfield Avenue, in Stamford, CT. at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St John’s Cemetery, 25 Camp Avenue, Darien CT.
