Hsuan Ching Chang, a 40 year resident of New Canaan, CT, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29th, 2025.
Hsuan was born on October 10th, 1946 in Nanjing, China to the late Tseyao Chang and Chaoying Fu and grew up in Taipei, Taiwan. He attended Soochow University in Taipei, Taiwan where he earned his Bachelor’s degree and then immigrated to the U.S. to earn his Masters of Professional Accounting at University of Texas at Arlington in 1973.
Hsuan started his professional life as a Certified Public Accountant at one of the Big Eight accounting firms and then joined Ehrlich David & Company in New York City. Later he went on to open his own practice in Stamford and New Canaan, CT and had a long career in accounting for over 40 years.
Hsuan was a devoted husband and father, who enjoyed sharing the world, especially National Parks, with his family and having bagels at the former Bruegger’s Bagels in New Canaan. Hsuan is survived by his wife Li-shiueh and his daughter Katarina. He is also survived by his two sisters and three brothers and their children. We will always carry his love, kindness, and generosity in our hearts.
