It is with broken heart that I share with you that my beloved Tom passed away on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the age of 75 yrs old.
Tom graduated from NCHS in a work study program. His trade of study was done at Village Body Shop in New Canaan. He continued working there for 30 years.
After retirement he began his work at New Canaan Public School transportation department. He made many connections with children and colleagues over the 21 years. He left behind his smile and kindness to everyone he met.
Tom is survived by his wife of 45 years Judy. He is survived by his nephews, Jimi and Matt Gilroy and 3 nieces and two granddaughters, Celeste and Stephanie, and 4 great grandchildren, Sissy, Cooper, Joshua and Tierney. He was predeceased by his parents and his four brothers, Bob, Mike, Billy and Richard.
A celebration of life will take place on October 4, 2025, at The New Canaan Nature Center, 144 Oenoke Ridge, New Canaan, from 11 am to 2 pm. Please wear bright colors, this is a celebration of an exceptional man.
Special thank you to everyone who prayed for us, sent beautiful cards and caring messages, and special friends who stopped by, we are so grateful for your support. A grateful thanks to Visiting Nurse and Hospice for the care given to us.
